Earned makes access to distracting technology conditional on doing what you said you would do.
You commit while thinking clearly. Earned enforces the deal later, when you are not. A commitment can be corrected for a short window after you make it — after that it can get harder, never easier.
The loop
- Commit — name what is due, and by when.
- Restrict — the apps you chose come off the table.
- Complete — do the thing.
- Verify — Earned checks, rather than taking your word for it.
- Unlock — you get the rest back.
Were you sent a link?
Someone named you as an accountability partner, which means they trust you to decide whether they get let out of a commitment early. Open the link they sent you and it will show you exactly what they committed to and how far they got.
Earned never shares your phone number or email address with anyone, and never contacts you again if you say no. Saying no to one person stops every future request, from anyone.
